What you'll do
- Develop and optimize CNC machining processes including milling, turning, grinding, and multi-axis operations
- Create and maintain CNC programs using CAM software such as MasterCAM
- Define machining strategies, tooling selections, cutting parameters, and fixturing solutions
- Conduct cycle time analysis and implement improvements to increase throughput
- Program, setup, and operate manual and CNC grinding machines and 3-axis CNC milling machines
- Machine complex components to tight tolerances in various materials under tight deadlines
- Cut material, build tooling, set fixtures, run programs, deburr, and finish parts
- Use inspection and measurement tools to validate work
- Track and document machining processes and results when necessary
- Collaborate with engineers and team members and communicate proactively through various channels
- Perform equipment calibrations and preventive maintenance
- Provide feedback on manufacturing methods and technologies
- Collaborate with design engineers to understand design intent and work independently towards effective solutions
- Conduct experiments following safety, quality, and efficiency standards
- Manage suppliers to execute projects per design specifications and timelines
- Create and define supplier technical and quality requirements based on project needs
- Design fixtures and equipment for testing in prototype and production environments
- Maintain clean and safe work areas

We are seeking a talented CNC Machining Engineer who will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC machining processes to ensure efficient, high-quality production.

Several years’ of CNC mill CAM programming experience.
Ability to identify and procure effective tooling and work-holding solutions.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings, documents, and GD&T.
Thorough knowledge in measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, bore gauges, optical comparator, etc.
Knowledge of material machinability and material selection.
Experience with material removal processes.
Demonstrate innovation, technical excellence, attention to detail and self-direction.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and mathematical competency
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment with tight deadline.
Strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering.
