What you'll do
- Ensure the safety of all guests throughout the flotilla
- Greet clients and assist with boarding, providing detailed on-board safety and yacht system briefs
- Control stock efficiently for vital spare parts on the lead yacht
- Assist the flotilla skipper with safe mooring of yachts
- Handle client queries or problems related to the flotilla
- Socialise with guests
- Organise social events, including group meals and Welcome Parties
- Maintain cleanliness and good presentation of the lead boat at all times
- Complete turnaround service checks, yacht preparation, and deck washing
- Brief clients on yacht systems and safety equipment
- Perform maintenance and repairs to yacht equipment
- Conduct proactive and preventative daily maintenance checks and repairs
- Carry out engine servicing including oil and filter checks and changes
- Maintain outboards for tenders
- Respond to emergency breakdown callouts for any fleet vessel
- Support the general running of the base
- Perform other duties as advised by the Base Manager
Key requirements
- Diesel engine maintenance and 2 & 4 stroke outboard engine maintenance
- Yacht sailing experience including RYA Day Skipper or Competent Crew
- Knowledge of 12V DC electrical systems and marine plumbing systems
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Experience in customer service and teamwork
- Flexibility with working hours
- Stock control and engine servicing skills
- Maintenance and repair capabilities
- Yacht preparation, cleaning, and social event organisation experience
- Ability to handle emergency breakdown callouts
