What you'll do
- Ensure the safety of all clients throughout the flotilla
- Present and maintain yachts
- Prepare yachts on turnaround days including deck cleaning
- Greet clients and assist with boarding; conduct welcome briefs on safety and yacht systems
- Give first day briefing to entire flotilla and daily briefings covering weather and local information
- Securely moor all yachts daily
- Perform day to day repairs and assist with breakdowns or call outs
- Conduct regular checks on equipment, specifically safety equipment
- Control stock efficiently of vital spare parts and equipment on the lead yacht
- Socialise with guests
- Assist with organising group meals, BBQs, competitions, and punch parties
- Organise and coordinate flotilla regattas
- Write weekly reports on the flotilla
- Maintain cleanliness and good presentation of the lead boat at all times
- Encourage teamwork and ensure all crew fulfill their duties
- Perform other duties as advised by the Base Manager
Key requirements
- RYA Yachtmaster Coastal or Offshore with Commercial Endorsement and valid medical certificate
- Basic yacht maintenance skills and safety conscious
- Experience in customer facing roles with communication and social skills
- Leadership skills and ability to work under pressure
- Teamwork and organisational skills
- Stock control and report writing
- Maritime Studiespreferred

Customers can get as involved in the sailing as they like, whilst enjoying the turquoise waters, buzzy harbours, and endless horizons.
Living on board with the customers, our bareboat skippers are required to plan and adapt the charters itinerary dependent on each customer’s preferences, weather forecasts, and perhaps even any secret hidden local gems.
