About the job
We are looking for a passionate and ambitious professional, to cover the position of Mining Engineer (ME.01), as part of our Quarry Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assessing the feasibility and the potential for commercial benefit of new sites
Ascertaining extraction risks
Producing models or plans for possible mining sites
Planning and implementing extraction systems
Using specialist computer applications to maximize planning and production
Managing mining operations
Ensuring that operations comply with health and safety requirements
Making sure that the equipment used is safe
Training and supervising staff
Liaising with and advising managerial and technical staff
Analyzing data
Keeping records
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Preferred: 3-5 years progressive experience ideally in marble quarries
University degree in Mining Engineering or Mineral Resources
Master degree would be an asset
Proficiency in English at a written and oral level is a prerequisite
Excellent PC literacy, advanced user of Microsoft Applications
Be able to communicate and cooperate with the team
Be highly motivated and passionate at work
