What you'll do
- Conduct internal ISM, ISPS audits and MLC inspections to assess controls and procedures
- Prepare vessels to comply with international auditing requirements
- Support vessels during external ISM, ISPS audits and MLC inspections
- Draft internal audit plan and prepare audit reports
- Keep records of non-conformities and follow up corrective actions
- Monitor certificates and audit reports via Navision ensuring validity and timely re-audit
Key requirements
- 3+ years' experience
- Knowledge of ISM, ISPS and MLC standards
- Certified auditor from recognized training center
- Audit planning and audit reporting skills
- Computer literacy including Navision
- English proficiency and excellent communication skills
- Legislation monitoring and staying updated on international requirements
- Maritime Studies / Any Field

Responsibilities:
- Conducts Internal ISM/ISPS Audits and MLC inspections to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the established controls and procedures.
- Prepares the vessels as required in order to comply with international auditing requirements.
- Supports the vessels through External ISM/ISPS Audits and MLC inspections.
- Drafts the Internal Audit plan/charter and prepares Audit reports.
- Keeps records of imposed Non Conformities/Observations from Internal & External Audits and follows up corrective actions in order to enhance the implementation of respective requirements.
- Monitors certificates, Internal & External Audit reports through Navision in order to ensure for the validity onboard the vessels and the will be carried out within the required interval.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies or in a relevant field.
- Postgraduate degree in Maritime Studies or in a relevant field will be considered an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of experience at a similar position in a shipping company.
- Knowledge of applicable ISM / ISPS / MLC standards.
- Certified Auditor from recognized training center.
- Computer literate.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to monitor and stay abreast of developments in legislation and international requirements changes.
