What you'll do
- Administer, monitor, and maintain production and development databases for high performance and availability
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures to protect data and minimize downtime
- Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query analysis
- Manage user access and security controls to ensure compliance with policies and regulations
- Support application and infrastructure teams in designing and deploying new database solutions
- Perform database upgrades, patches, and migrations while minimizing service disruption
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- Experience with Oracle and other relational databases
- Knowledge of database performance tuning and replication techniques
- Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures and disaster recovery
- Skills in database security management and user access control
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automation
- Experience with monitoring systems for databases
