legal and compliance officer (full-time, athens, greece)

As a Legal & Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing legal advice, drafting legal documents, assisting in the resolution of legal disputes, and ensuring that the company operates in accordance with the regulations and within the boundaries of the law.

How you will contribute to our success:

• Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of legal issues relevant to the company's operations, including but not limited to contracts, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance;
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company's interests and minimize legal risks;
• Draft, review and update code and company policies or other relevant documentation;
• Conduct legal research and analysis to stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends that may impact the company;
• Collaborate with internal departments to identify legal issues and provide proactive solutions and risk mitigation strategies;
• Serve as a point of contact for legal inquiries from internal and external stakeholders;
• Manage legal disputes, litigation, and regulatory investigations involving the company;
• Attend court hearings on behalf of the company when needed;
• Maintain accurate and organized legal records, files, and databases;
• Serve as Data Protection Officer (DPO).

To be a fit you will need:

• Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent;
• 3 years of previous experience as a legal counsel or legal officer in a corporate environment;
• Solid understanding of corporate law, contract law, intellectual property law, employment law and other relevant areas of law;
• Advanced MS Office skills;
• Excellent command of the English language;
• Very good command of the German language (current level C1);
• Keen eye for detail and accuracy;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
