What you'll do
- Manage end-to-end translation projects from English into Japanese using XTM TMS
- Translate, edit, and proofread various content types ensuring high quality and consistency
- Coordinate with freelancers, LSPs, and SMEs for project execution and quality assurance
- Onboard and manage external translators and suppliers with clear briefings
- Implement AI tools like machine translation to optimize workflows
- Perform file alignments, update translation memories, and prepare files for translation
- Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and cultural relevance
- Serve as main communication point for feedback and issue resolution
- Handle reporting, file management, and supplier communications accurately and timely
Key requirements
- Strong bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese with translation skills
- Project management in localization using XTM TMS and CAT tools
- Experience with Machine Translation (MT) tools and AI integration
- Coordination with Language Service Providers and onboarding external partners
- Editing and proofreading of translated materials
- File format handling including MS Office and InDesign
- Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills
