What you'll do
- Lead, coach, and develop Buyers and Transportation teams
- Set team goals, priorities, and monitor performance through KPIs
- Drive continuous improvement by monitoring supplier performance
- Manage supply shortages and resolve supply deviations
- Coordinate corrective actions for delayed deliveries or low supplier service
- Conduct regular supplier performance review meetings
- Ensure suppliers meet delivery schedules and order quantities
- Oversee accurate execution of purchase orders
- Ensure Buyers execute the approved replenishment plan
- Monitor compliance with Minimum Order Quantities and supplier Lead Times
- Prioritize purchasing activities based on business needs and product availability
- Oversee import planning and inbound shipment scheduling
- Monitor inbound shipments until final delivery to Distribution Center
- Ensure timely customs clearance completion
- Monitor and optimize transportation costs
- Ensure smooth product flow from suppliers to warehouse
- Resolve operational issues impacting product availability
- Ensure timely execution of all supply planning and operational activities
- Collaborate closely with Commercial, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure stock availability and business continuity
Key requirements
- 3+ years' experience
- Supply Planning, Purchasing, and Supplier Relationship Management
- Inbound Supply Operations, Import Processes, and Transportation
- Inventory Management and Replenishment Planning
- ERP Systems and advanced Microsoft Excel; Power BI knowledge
- Analytical Skills and problem-solving abilities
- Leadership, Coaching, and Communication skills
- Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Business Administration / Engineeringpreferred

About the job
As a Supply Planning Manager, you will lead our Buying and Transportation teams, ensuring the seamless flow of products from suppliers to our Warehouse Center. By driving supplier performance, optimizing replenishment activities, and coordinating transportation processes, you will play a critical role in maintaining high product availability while balancing inventory and transportation costs. Your managerial skills, operational excellence mindset, and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams, combined with your passion for pets, will help you succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Leading, coaching, and developing the Buyers and Transportation teams
Setting team goals, priorities, and monitoring performance through KPIs
Providing continuous coaching, guidance, and performance feedback
Monitoring supplier performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Managing critical supply shortages and resolving supply deviations
Coordinating corrective actions in cases of delayed deliveries or low supplier service levels
Conducting regular supplier performance review meetings
Ensuring suppliers meet agreed delivery schedules and order quantities
Overseeing the accurate execution of purchase orders
Ensuring Buyers execute the approved replenishment plan
Monitoring compliance with Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) and supplier Lead Times
Prioritizing purchasing activities based on business needs and product availability
Overseeing import planning and inbound shipment scheduling
Monitoring inbound shipments until final delivery to the Distribution Center
Ensuring the timely completion of customs clearance procedures
Monitoring and optimizing transportation costs
Ensuring the smooth flow of products from suppliers to the warehouse
Resolving operational issues that impact product availability
Ensuring the timely execution of all supply planning and operational activities
Collaborating closely with Commercial, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure optimal stock availability and business continuity
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree will be considered an asset
3+ years of experience in Supply Planning, Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain, including experience in a leadership role
Proven experience managing supplier relationships and inbound supply operations
Strong understanding of inventory management, replenishment planning, import processes, and transportation
Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI will be considered an asset
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership, coaching, and people management abilities
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to prioritize effectively and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
