The In-Residence Dining Waiter plays a pivotal role in delivering a seamless and personalized in-room dining experience that reflects the resort’s commitment to luxury, precision, and genuine hospitality. Acting as an ambassador of the brand, the role is responsible for the prompt, accurate, and elegant delivery of food and beverage orders to guest rooms and residences, ensuring every interaction enhances guest satisfaction and loyalty. This position requires strong coordination with the kitchen, housekeeping, and in-room dining order takers to ensure flawless execution from order preparation through service completion.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver in-room dining food and beverage orders promptly, accurately, and in accordance with established luxury service standards
Ensure all trays and trolleys are set up with attention to presentation, cleanliness, and order accuracy prior to delivery
Present meals to guests in a courteous, professional, and engaging manner, creating a refined in-room dining experience
Verify guest details, room number, and order specifics before service to ensure accuracy and guest satisfaction
Communicate effectively with the kitchen and In-Room Dining team regarding order status, special requests, dietary requirements, and delivery timelines
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menus, ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage offerings to confidently answer guest inquiries and make recommendations
Monitor guest satisfaction during and after service, responding promptly and professionally to any concerns or service recovery needs
Coordinate with housekeeping for timely collection of trays and trolleys, ensuring proper logging and follow-up
Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, pantries, equipment, and workstations at all times
Adhere strictly to hygiene, safety, and food handling standards in line with hotel policies
Assist colleagues during peak periods and support related food and beverage operations when required
Demonstrate flexibility to work across shifts and support other areas as directed by the In-Room Dining Manager
Record and communicate guest preferences, allergies, and special occasions to support personalized service delivery
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred
Minimum of two years’ experience in a luxury hotel or high-end food and beverage service environment
Strong command of spoken English; additional languages are considered an advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-focused mindset
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Professional appearance and demeanor aligned with luxury brand standards
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure and service quality
Strong team orientation with a proactive and flexible approach to operations
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
