What you'll do
- Lead quality control, laboratory activities and product quality management at the plant
- Analyze quality performance data, identify deviations and implement corrective actions
- Improve the plant quality control plan, systems and procedures
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, product specifications and internal requirements
- Manage the Quality Laboratory and ensure reliable, timely testing and appropriate controls
- Define and monitor the product portfolio and product recipes
- Monitor product performance and implement quality improvement and product optimization initiatives
- Assess alternative raw materials and fuels for product quality impacts and implement appropriate controls
- Monitor customer satisfaction and product performance, defining corrective actions where needed
- Support investigations and follow-up of customer complaints and quality-related issues
- Support the development, testing and industrial implementation of new products and solutions
- Ensure quality requirements are considered in plant projects, operational changes and new installations
- Prioritize continuous improvement initiatives for quality, laboratory operations and product consistency
- Provide technical guidance on quality matters to plant personnel and commercial teams
- Develop the Quality team through coaching, training and individual development planning
- Share best practices and collaborate on quality and product development initiatives
Key requirements
- 4+ years' experience
- Cement manufacturing process; Clinker and cement chemistry
- Quality control systems; Quality and Environmental Management Systems
- Process inspections, measurements, and audits; Quality performance data analysis
- Quality laboratory management; Product quality management
- Corrective action implementation; Product portfolio and recipe management
- Clinker and cement cost levers; Environmental impact assessment; Alternative raw materials and fuels assessment; Technical guidance on quality matters; English language
- Chemical Engineering / Engineering
