What you'll do
- Assist and lead the cultural transformation to achieve zero accidents and incidents
- Coordinate and oversee implementation of Health & Safety programs per HSE Management System
- Monitor compliance with Greek and EU occupational Health and Safety legislation
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations for confectionery manufacturing
- Participate in investigations to close non-conformances and follow up to resolve them using root cause analysis
- Maintain incident reporting system and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Provide Health and Safety expertise for new projects and change management activities
- Develop technical guidance programs to identify and remove physical hazards

About the job
The HSE Coordinator supports the HSE Manager in implementing and maintaining the company's Health & Safety Policy at the Athens confectionery and chocolate manufacturing plant. The role ensures that all production and support activities are conducted with the highest concern for health and safety, fostering a world-class safety culture and driving continuous improvement toward an accident-free workplace.
How you will contribute
You will:
Assist and lead the cultural transformation regarding HSE to help lead plant to achieve Zero accidents and Incidents
Be responsible for coordinating and overseeing implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes in compliance with HSE Standards as referenced in the applicable HSE Management System
Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable Greek occupational Health and Safety legislation and all applicable EU regulations
Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard assessments and risk evaluations specific to confectionary manufacturing hazards
Participate in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non-conformances
Provide Health and Safety expertise for the plant for all new projects and change management activities
Follow up on non-conformances and develops the systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis
Maintain an up-to-date incident reporting system, assist with investigating incidents in conjunction with the HSE Pillar team/safety committee and drive the completion of corrective actions to eliminate root causes/reoccurrence
Develop technical guidance programs to identify and remove physical hazards`

Strong knowledge of applicable Greek and EU health and safety legislation

Language: Fluency in Greek is a requirement
Good command of English is required for corporate reporting and communication
Education / Certifications: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering

Analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks and develop practical solutions
Strong organizations skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting
Ability to deliver engaging training sessions and safety awareness campaigns in Greek language

Knowledge of PowerBI (desirable)
