- Assist in delivery of training and awareness programs for personnel and contractors on HSEQ topics
- Support communication and coordination with authorities for licensing, inspections, and submissions
- Collect, monitor, and report HSEQ and ESG performance indicators
Key requirements
- 2+ years' experience
- Knowledge of HSEQ Management Systems including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 50001, ISO 17025
- Compliance with EU and national HSEQ regulations including SEVESO Directive and REACH Regulation
- Experience in environmental permitting, waste management, and environmental impact assessments
- Skills in audits, inspections, and emergency response planning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills

We are currently looking for an HSEQ Officer to join our team in Sindos, Thessaloniki. The HSEQ Officer will support HSEQ activities across Circular Metals facilities.
Your role will encompass:
Support the implementation of the company’s HSEQ strategy, policies, and objectives in alignment with ISO standards.
Assist in ensuring compliance with Greek and EU regulations related to environmental protection, occupational health & safety, waste shipment, and industrial risk management.
Participate in permitting processes for Circular Metals facilities, including environmental licensing and regulatory approvals.
Support permitting activities related to hazardous materials handling, environmental impact assessments, and GHG reporting requirements.
Ensure compliant waste management practices across Circular Metals facilities, including monitoring, handling, and disposal in line with applicable legislation.
Monitor compliance with REACH Regulation requirements, including verification of substance registration, safe use, and related documentation.
Assist in the implementation of HSEQ and ESG action plans across Circular Metals facilities, following standardized systems and local requirements.
Participate in audits and inspections, including SEVESO-related reviews, and follow up on non-conformities and corrective actions.
Support the development and implementation of emergency response plans for incidents involving hazardous waste, chemicals, or emissions.
Collaborate with HSEQ teams (Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Quality, Systems, and Occupational Health) in day-to-day activities.
Assist in the delivery of training and awareness programs for plant personnel and contractors on HSEQ topics.
Support communication and coordination with authorities for licensing, inspections, and regulatory submissions.
Collect, monitor, and report HSEQ and ESG performance indicators.
What you bring to the role:
BSc in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
An MSc degree or MBA will be considered an asset.
2+ years of experience in HSEQ roles or Management Systems within industrial, energy, manufacturing, or related sectors.
Experience supporting the implementation and maintenance of HSEQ Management Systems, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 50001, and ISO 17025.
Understanding of applicable HSEQ regulatory frameworks (EU and national legislation), including:
SEVESO Directive (industrial risk management).
REACH Regulation (chemical substances compliance and registration).
Environmental permitting and waste management requirements.
Experience supporting licensing and permitting processes for industrial installations.
Familiarity with environmental assessments, emissions monitoring, audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support corrective and preventive actions.
Excellent communication skills, strong team spirit, and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and reporting tools.
Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Driving license and willingness to travel to Company facilities when required.
