About the job

We are currently looking for a Technical Buyer to join our Procurement & Technical Support team in Athens, Greece

By joining this role, you will support the business by performing procurement activities for both the Operation and Maintenance of company’s Thermal Power Plants in Greece and the Energy Customer Solutions (Retail).

 

Your role will encompass:

  • Ensure full compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and internal controls

  • Execute sourcing activities for equipment, parts & services

  • Prepare and manage RFQs in collaboration with project and engineering teams

  • Evaluate technical and commercial proposals, support supplier’s selection including negotiation, and ongoing performance management

  • Draft, review, and manage contracts, framework agreements, ensuring commercial effectiveness and operational alignment

  • Ensure all contractual terms support business needs, mitigate risks, and comply with applicable regulatory requirements

  • Establish good communication & close cooperation with all interfacing departments (technical, financial, legal)

  • Develop and report key functional metrics to monitor and improve the effectiveness of the procurement process

  • Handle logistics of the ordered materials, aiming at their timely and cost-effective delivery

  • Continuously monitor and improve the implementation of SAP ERP system, to cover the whole spectrum of the procurement process, in collaboration with the IT Department

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field

  • Master’s degree in economics or supply chain will be considered an asset

  • 3+ years of professional experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management (ideally in the energy or industrial sector)

  • Solid understanding of legal, commercial, and risk-related aspects of procurement contracts

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills both in Greek & English language

  • ERP experience, especially SAP will be considered as an asset

  • Advanced MS Office skills

  • High sense of responsibility with special emphasis on compliance with company’s procedures and code of conduct
