What you'll do
- Forecast prices in the Greek wholesale electricity markets each day
- Optimize the fleet’s daily financial position through participation in Target Model markets
- Participate in weekend and holiday shifts to maintain continuous market coverage
- Develop analytical tools to support daily departmental operations
- Deliver tactical and ad hoc reports to administration
- Work with budget owners to prepare budget proposals
- Monitor business results against budget and report findings to administration
- Monitor power plant fleet performance using data analysis and develop profitability improvement strategies
- Communicate asset performance updates and challenges to management and relevant departments
- Select effective bidding strategies to optimize thermal power plant operations
Key requirements
- 3+ years' experience
- Energy market analysis and Energy market trading
- Thermal asset optimization and Power plant performance monitoring
- Price forecasting and Bidding strategies
- Financial position optimization and Budgeting and budget monitoring
- Data analysis and modeling and Analytical tools development
- Python, VBA, Greek language, English language
- Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Energy Engineering / Data Analysis / Energy Economics
