What you'll do
- Coordinate and supervise construction work according to schedules, priorities, and drawings
- Create work schedules and monitor crew attendance
- Monitor the receipt of supplies
- Assign general and daily tasks
- Ensure adequate workforce and resources
- Enforce occupational health and safety precautions and quality standards
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
- Resolve problems as they arise
- Report daily progress and maintain site diaries and required records
- Participate in quantity takeoffs and measure subcontractor work
Key requirements
- Construction work supervision, construction process knowledge, and construction drawing reading
- Work organization, project scheduling, and progress monitoring
- Crew coordination, leadership skills, and workforce management
- Occupational health and safety
- Construction equipment management and supply management
- Problem solving, reporting and record keeping, and subcontractor work measurement
- General Education / Technical Tradespreferred
