What you'll do
- Lead the Housekeeping Department by developing and updating policies, procedures, practices, and standards.
- Inspect areas and take corrective measures to meet hotel cleanliness, maintenance, and supply standards.
- Select, train, develop, schedule, and manage the performance of direct subordinates.
- Coordinate housekeeping duties with Front Desk, Maintenance, Sales and Marketing, and Food & Beverage.
- Participate in planning, executing, and setting up pre-opening, refurbishment, and renovation projects, including snag lists.
- Prepare the annual budget and manning guide, and manage the department within budget guidelines.
- Stay informed about new cleaning equipment, products, local competition, and housekeeping industry trends.
- Lead and attend meetings, and prepare reports, memos, and other administrative documents.
Key requirements
- 3+ years' experience
- Housekeeping leadership: Housekeeping department management, housekeeping operations coordination, and hotel cleanliness standards.
- People management: Team management, staff scheduling, training and development, and performance management.
- Planning and finance: Budget management and manning guide preparation.
- Standards and improvement: Policy and procedure development, quality evaluation of cleaning products and equipment.
- Projects and reporting: Pre-opening and renovation project management, administrative reporting, and meeting leadership.
- Industry awareness: Hotel industry trend awareness.
