We’re seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics Consulting team and help build the infrastructure that powers analytical and operational intelligence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on designing scalable data solutions, enjoys working across diverse data sources, and is excited to contribute to the development of a modern, cloud-first data platform. You’ll play a key role in shaping how data flows, transforms, and empowers decision-making across the organization.
As a Data Engineer, you will design and build the data infrastructure that supports our analytics and decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines across various sources (databases, APIs, flat files).
Transforming raw data into structured formats for use by analysts, BI tools, and data scientists.
Designing data models and optimizing performance in data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud environments.
Ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability through automated monitoring and validation.
Collaborating with analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver fit-for-purpose datasets.
Applying best practices in data validation, metadata management, and governance.
Supporting data visualization and reporting efforts using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Identifying opportunities to improve data processes, enhance performance, and deliver greater value to stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
3+ years of experience in a data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence role
Strong experience in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, DataStage, Apache Airflow, or similar
Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python or R)
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, or Fabric) and modern data warehouse technologies (e.g., Fabric, Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery)
Solid understanding of data modeling, data lakes, and warehousing principles
Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines for data workflows is a plus
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability
A proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement in data architecture and processes
