Intellectica is recruiting an experienced and highly skilled IT Manager on behalf of a leading Group of Companies operating in the Aerospace, Defense, Security, and High-Technology sectors. The Group maintains a strong presence in Greece, with its primary operations based in Attica, and has recently expanded internationally through the successful integration of entities in Germany, France, and Belgium, bringing the total headcount to approximately 1,500 employees across all locations. Based in Koropi, Attica and reporting directly to the Director of Information, Technology & Security, the IT Manager will lead the day-to-day IT Operations team and will be accountable for the availability, performance, and security of core IT services across the organization's locations. The role owns IT service management practices, supplier and budget management, and works closely with Information Security to support compliance, audit readiness, and risk reduction, while helping to scale the function as the business grows.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop the IT Operations team, shaping its structure and capabilities as the organization scales
Build a service-oriented, high-performance culture that candidates and stakeholders alike can rely on
IT Service Delivery & Operations
Take full ownership of day-to-day IT operations and delivery service across all business locations
Drive ITSM best practices, incident, request, problem, and change management, with clear SLAs and escalation paths
Set priorities that keep the business running smoothly, from routine support to critical incidents
Infrastructure & Technology Management
Ensure the availability, performance, and security of end-user devices, identity and access services, network infrastructure, and connectivity
Oversee Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms, plus backup and recovery solutions, keeping the organization's digital backbone dependable
Governance, Risk & Security Collaboration
Maintain asset inventories, CMDB, and documentation standards that keep the environment audit-ready
Partner closely with Information Security on vulnerability management, security controls, incident response, and audit readiness
Support internal and external audits and champion strong operational governance
Vendor & Budget Management
Manage the operational IT budget and procurement activities
Own supplier and service-provider relationships, monitoring contracts, licensing, and SLA performance, a great opportunity to shape how the function is run
Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
Ensure the organization's IT services are ready for the unexpected, leading DR testing, resilience planning, and continuous improvement
Reporting & Performance Management
Deliver regular KPI reporting to leadership: service desk performance, ticket trends, patch compliance, asset health, supplier performance, and risk indicators
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree will be considered an asset
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Information Technology, including leadership responsibility for IT operations, infrastructure, and business technology initiatives
Strong expertise in enterprise IT infrastructure, including endpoint management, identity and access management (IAM), networking, cloud technologies, and Microsoft 365 environments
Proven experience managing internal IT teams, external vendors, and managed service providers, ensuring effective service delivery and operational performance
Solid knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) practices; ITIL certification or equivalent experience is considered a strong advantage
Demonstrated experience leading IT projects and digital transformation initiatives, including planning, budgeting, governance, risk management, and stakeholder coordination
Strong understanding of information security principles, IT governance, and operating within secure and/or regulated environments
Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance, where required
Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken
