Intellectica is recruiting a Business IT Manager on behalf of its client, a global leader in construction chemicals with a strong international presence, an established footprint in Greece, and a sustained growth trajectory. Based in Kryoneri, Attiki, and reporting to the Area IT Manager while working closely with local senior management, the successful candidate will serve as the key liaison between the business and the regional and global IT organization. This role is responsible for driving the effective delivery of business applications, digital initiatives, end-user enablement, and local IT services, ensuring technology supports both operational excellence and strategic business objectives. As the organization embarks on a major SAP transformation and the redesign of critical business processes, the Business IT Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting change, partnering closely with stakeholders across all functions, and translating business needs into impactful technology solutions that deliver long-term value.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
Business partnering & digitalization
Act as the trusted IT partner to local business functions (Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, HR), translating business needs into practical, value-adding IT solutions
Partner with local management and the Area IT Manager to align local IT services with business priorities and the wider digital roadmap
Drive digitalization initiatives that improve efficiency, automation, and data-driven decision-making, including low-code tooling such as Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate
Keep the big picture in focus, ensuring local solutions remain aligned with corporate standards and enterprise architecture
SAP & business applications
Serve as the local IT owner for SAP and core business applications, supporting the migration to the new SAP platform and the redesign of business processes
Partner with the corporate SAP, Business Process, and regional teams on rollouts, upgrades, integrations, and issue resolution
Drive adoption, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of business systems across the site
Hands-on support & service delivery
Own day-to-day local IT operations, ensuring system availability, performance, and business continuity for the manufacturing and commercial operation
Provide hands-on, desk-side support across departments, visiting teams on the floor and staying close to end-users, if needed
Manage the digital workplace, end-user services, and the lifecycle of IT assets (devices, applications, licenses)
Act as the primary local escalation point toward regional Tech IT for infrastructure, cloud, and network topics
Leadership, governance & vendors
Lead and develop the local IT team, setting clear priorities and fostering collaboration with regional and global IT
Ensure local IT activities comply with corporate IT policies, security standards, and applicable legal and cyber-security requirements
Manage local IT vendors and partners, and support local IT budgeting and cost control
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related disciplin; a Master’s degree is considered an asset
5+ years of progressive experience in IT, including business applications, end-user support, and IT service delivery within a corporate environment; experience in a production environment is a strong plus
Solid, hands-on experience with SAP and enterprise business applications, with the confidence to support an SAP migration and business-process change
Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate) is considered a strong plus
Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing desk-side support when required
Good working understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, and cloud services
Fluency in Greek and English (written and verbal)
