Intellectica is recruiting a detail-oriented HR Payroll Officer on behalf of a leading and rapidly evolving group of companies operating across hospitality, construction, and security services. The role is based in Athens, Greece and reports directly to the Payroll Leader. The successful candidate will join the payroll team and will play a key role in supporting end-to-end payroll processes across multiple legal entities, contributing to the smooth and compliant execution of payroll operations.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
Supporting end-to-end payroll execution across multiple legal entities, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
Processing monthly payroll for salaried and daily wage employees, validating input data and calculations
Managing ERGANI declarations (hirings, terminations, amendments, schedules, digital work card), ensuring full legislative compliance
Calculating payroll components, including bonuses, benefits, and off-cycle payments (e.g. terminations, settlements)
Preparing and submitting EFKA contributions and supporting ΑΠΔ compilation per entity
Maintaining and updating employee payroll records, including absences and leave balances
Monitoring updates in labour legislation and contributing to the timely alignment of payroll processes and systems
Supporting communication with employees, addressing payroll-related queries
Maintaining accurate payroll data within the payroll system (Epsilon Net)
Preparing payroll-related accounting entries and coordinating with Finance
Participating in team operations, including standby rotation when required
Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a University or Technological Educational Institute; HR qualifications are also welcome
2 - 4 years of experience in end-to-end payroll lifecycle operations within an in-house or accounting environment
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as EpsilonNet, or similar payroll platforms
Proficiency in ERGANI and strong knowledge of Greek labor laws
Handling payroll for multi-entity structures and/or large employee populations (mixed workforce preferred)
Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
Fluent in Greek and English
