What you'll do
- Post, update, and reconcile accounting entries and supporting documents for foreign Group entities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including AP/AR, general ledger postings, and expense processing
- Collaborate with external accountants for monthly and annual accounting activities
- Review, analyze, and organize accounting files under international and local GAAP
- Transform foreign accounting data to align with the Greek General Ledger
- Record converted financial data into the Group’s internal accounting system
- Assist with VAT, withholding tax, and other tax compliance procedures
- Use ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365 to maintain accurate financial records
- Support monthly closings, reporting, and preparation of internal financial statements
- Coordinate with internal departments for efficient and compliant financial workflows
Key requirements
- 2+ years' experience
- Posting and reconciliation of accounting entries and bookkeeping tasks
- Knowledge of international and local GAAP and Greek tax framework
- Experience with ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Use of Greek electronic books (myDATA) and tax reporting tools
- Fluency in English and Greek
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical mindset
- Accounting / Financepreferred

Intellectica is recruiting a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant on behalf of an internationally recognized Group of Companies present in the High Technology markets. Based in Athens, Greece and reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the successful candidate will join the Finance Department and support the accounting operations of Group companies located abroad, contributing to the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of financial data across multiple jurisdictions.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
Posting, updating, and reconciling accounting entries and supporting documents for Group entities operating abroad
Managing daily bookkeeping tasks including AP/AR, general ledger postings, and expense processing
Collaborating closely with external accountants in different countries to support monthly and annual accounting activities
Reviewing, analyzing, and organizing accounting files prepared under international/local GAAP
Assisting in the transformation of foreign accounting data into formats aligned with the Greek General Ledger
Recording properly converted financial data into the Group’s internal accounting system
Assisting with VAT, withholding taxes, and other tax‑related compliance procedures
Working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365) to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial records
Supporting monthly closings, reporting processes, and preparation of internal financial statements
Cooperating with internal departments to secure efficient and compliant financial workflows
Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a MSc will be considered a strong plus
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role, ideally within an international corporate environment or accounting firm
Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles and the Greek tax framework
Hands-on experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset
Familiarity with Greek electronic books (myDATA) and tax reporting tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Fluent in English and Greek (both written and verbal)
