About the job

We are looking for an experienced Technology Bid Specialist to manage end-to-end responses to RFPs/RFIs for both the private and public sectors. The ideal candidate will design tailored technical solutions, create detailed software proposals, and take full ownership of the submission process, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines.

The key responsibilities of this role will include:

RFP/RFI Management:

  • Analyze and interpret RFP/RFI requirements to ensure comprehensive and compliant responses
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the proposal process, including planning, coordination, writing, editing, and submission
  • Develop proposal schedules and ensure timely delivery of all components

Technical Solution Development:

  • Design and propose tailored technical solutions that meet client needs and showcase our company's capabilities
  • Collaborate with engineering and development teams to create software design concepts and architectures
  • Ensure that proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and align with industry best practices

Proposal Writing & Documentation:

  • Craft clear, concise, and compelling proposal content, including technical narratives, project plans, and executive summaries
  • Create supporting documents such as diagrams, workflows, and technical specifications
  • Edit and proofread all proposal materials for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with client requirements

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with subcontractors or partners when proposals require joint responses
  • Act as the central point of contact for all proposal-related communications

Submission Ownership:

  • Ensure all proposals comply with the client's instructions, evaluation criteria, and regulatory requirements, especially for public sector submissions
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance proposal quality and win rates
  • Coordinate all aspects of the RFP process, including gathering input, writing, editing, and finalizing documents
  • Ensure timely and compliant receipt of proposals and address any post-submission inquiries or clarifications

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with sales, technical teams, and management to align solutions with business goals
  • Maintain effective communication with external stakeholders during the RFP process

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Ensure all RFP responses meet industry standards and client-specific guidelines
  • Maintain an organized repository of templates, past proposals, and related documentation for future use

To be successful at this role you need the following (hard and soft skills)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in responding to RFPs/RFIs within both private and public sectors
  • Proven experience in software design and technical solution development
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes and compliance requirements
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency in software design principles and methodologies
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to interpret complex technical requirements and craft compelling solutions
  • Proficiency with proposal management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Military Obligations completed (if applicable)
