mid-level java software engineer

The key responsibilities of the Mid-Level Java Software Engineer will include:

• Analyzing, designing and developing web applications in a multi-tier Spring Boot environment
• Supporting database schemas designs and query optimization
• Managing systems integration
• Estimating tasks required to complete various development projects including time and resources required.
• Providing technical support and documentation
• Identifying and applying appropriate modern technologies and techniques for software development

The person we’re looking for needs to have:

• 2 - 4 years on the job working experience in backend software development
• Experience in SpringBoot 6 , Spring Security, Spring Cloud , Quarkus.
• Experience in Java 11 & 17
• Advanced experience with version control tools
• Advanced experience in relational database design SQL ( PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLServer )
• Experience with database schema change management systems like Liquibase.
• Experience in no-SQL distributed databases (MongoSQL, CockroachDB )
• Knowledge of security principles ( RBAC, OAuth2 , Authorization and Authentication )
• Multilingual language mentality, the right language for the right job
• Knowledge of microservice architecture development
• Knowledge of cloud native development

Nice to have as a Mid - level Java Software Engineer in Grant Thornton Greece :

• Familiarity with Linux server environments ( Ubuntu Pro , SLES 15 )
• Familiarity with Docker and Docker Swarm
• Experience in integration with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud Provider
• Experience with mobile Android development with Java or Kotlin.
• Experience with Reactive Functional Programming.
• Familiarity with DevOps Practices ( Automation, Deployment pipelines )
