What you'll do
- Manage daily accounting department operations and coordinate the team
- Coordinate and monitor month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Review accounting records for compliance with Greek Accounting Standards and tax legislation
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of direct and indirect tax returns
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and other accounting activities
- Prepare and review financial and management information reports
- Monitor cash flows and provide financial information to management
- Prepare monthly payment schedules according to agreed payment terms
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and other external partners
- Ensure compliance with tax obligations and statutory reporting requirements
- Monitor accounting procedures and internal controls, resolve discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis processes
- Improve and standardise accounting procedures by leveraging automation opportunities
- Collaborate with other departments to support information sharing and operational coordination
Key requirements
- Accounting department management and team coordination
- Greek Accounting Standards and Greek tax legislation
- Financial reporting, tax returns, and month-end and year-end closing
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable, general ledger, and accounting procedures
- Internal controls, cash flow monitoring, and budgeting and forecasting
- Class A Accountant-Tax Consultant Licence, AI tools, and Business Intelligence tools
- Accounting / Finance / Business Administration / Economics / Any Field
