What you'll do
- Lead and develop the Finance team and oversee daily financial operations
- Manage Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Accounting and Cost Control
- Train, coach and mentor Finance colleagues
- Provide financial guidance on cost allocations, coding structures and account classifications
- Prepare objectives, job descriptions and performance evaluations for Finance colleagues
- Support Finance recruitment, selection and onboarding
- Deputize for the Director of Finance when required
- Lead the month-end close and approve monthly journal entries
- Review trial balances and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare management accounts, executive summaries and financial reports
- Prepare departmental profit and loss statements in line with USALI
- Analyze and explain variances against budget, forecast and prior-year performance
- Coordinate annual budgeting and long-range planning
- Support monthly forecasting and prepare cash flow reports and forecasts
- Review cash positions and help maintain sufficient liquidity
- Approve payments, purchase requests, purchase orders and related documentation
- Support bank administration and resolve reconciliation discrepancies
- Monitor payroll processing, accruals, transactions and service charge distributions
- Oversee supplier and intercompany account reconciliations
- Maintain internal controls and implement corrective actions
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- IFRS, financial reporting and hospitality accounting
- Budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Internal controls and month-end close
- Statutory audits and Greek tax requirements
- VAT regulations and myDATA reporting
- Treasury management, payroll management and USALI
- Finance / Accounting / Economics / Any Field
