What you'll do
- Analyze requirements and user stories to design test plans, cases, and scenarios
- Define appropriate testing approaches including functional, regression, integration, automation, and performance
- Participate in refinement sessions to ensure clarity and testability of acceptance criteria
- Execute manual tests on new features, enhancements, and defect fixes across UI, API, and end‑to‑end flows
- Validate data accuracy, UI behavior, system interactions, and user journeys
- Document defects with detailed reproduction steps, results, and environment info
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, or JMeter
- Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Identify, log, and track defects using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or GitLab
- Work with developers to validate defect fixes and retest affected areas
- Ensure compliance with QA standards and promote test best practices
- Suggest improvements in tools, workflows, and test coverage
- Perform performance tests to assess application scalability and stability
- Verify security requirements like authentication, authorization, and data validation
- Support production readiness checks and environment validation
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure end‑to‑end quality
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and report testing progress and metrics
- Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, cases, test data, and results
- Contribute acceptance criteria and testing insights to enhance user stories
