What you'll do
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive maintenance program including preventive, corrective, and emergency repairs
- Manage a team of maintenance staff with direction, training, and support
- Perform regular inspections of the hotel's facilities to identify and address maintenance needs promptly
- Coordinate with housekeeping and front office departments to meet maintenance needs timely
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment ensuring availability and organization
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and standards
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- Maintenance management and leadership skills
- Building systems knowledge including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability and ability to work under pressure
- Preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs
- Inventory management and vendor management
- Team training and health and safety compliance
