What you'll do
- Oversee and supervise all mechanical and plumbing system tasks at the Santorini regional airport
- Act as first point of contact for all technical plumbing issues
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and related equipment
- Provide first level technical assistance during system operation failures
- Liaise with Airport’s Engineer for scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance
- Inspect and diagnose plumbing problems, deciding effective solutions
- Implement safety measures during plumbing works to prevent accidents
- Advise and assist in design changes to improve equipment efficiency and reduce costs
- Input data into CMMS for maintenance management
- Adhere to company procedures and quality policies to ensure system reliability
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- Technical education in relevant field
- Mechanical repairs and plumbing systems installation and maintenance
- Safety standards compliance and technical troubleshooting
- CMMS data input and computer literacy
- Fluency in Greek and basic English language skills
- Collaboration, customer orientation, problem solving, and accountability
- Organizational and time management skills with attention to accuracy and precision
- Outcome orientation without close supervision

About the job
The Mechanical Technician overlooks and supervises all tasks required to ensure safe and efficient operation of all mechanical systems (plumbing works) for the regional airport of Santorini.
Requirements
Acts as a first point of contact for all technical issues (plumbing works)
Installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing systems as well as other related equipment within the airport facilities
Provides first level technical assistance against any failure encountered while system is in operation
Liaises with the Airport’s Engineer for any scheduled maintenance activity or any ad-hoc intervention
Inspects and diagnoses plumbing problems, determining the most appropriate course of action to address issues efficiently and effectively
Implements the appropriate safety measures while performing plumbing works to prevent accidents, injuries, or damage to property
Advices and assists design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce operational costs
Provides input for CMMS data assignments
Adheres to company procedures and quality policies to ensure high systems reliability
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Requirements
Do you fulfill the required skills?
Degree from a Technical Educational Institute or from a Technical School on a relevant field
Minimum five (5) years of experience in leading mechanical repairs and construction activities preferable in large scale installations
Computer literate
Fluency in Greek (οral & written)
Basic knowledge of the English language (οral & written)

Fraport Greece’s innovative €440 million airport development program has significantly transformed these airports. In particular, Fraport Greece has delivered five brand new terminals, expanded and modernized five existing terminals, and upgraded four other terminals. Construction projects at airside operational areas of the regional airports included renovating 12 runways, improving ramp areas, and constructing and renovating 12 fire stations. All of the airports have also been equipped with new state-of-the-art baggage handling and security systems.
The 14 Greek regional airports project is one of the largest and most beneficial investments and is a basis for boosting the Greek economy. Fraport Greece enhances the airports’ international competitiveness by the optimization of operational processes, the modernization and upgrade of the airports’ infrastructure and the continuous training of employees.
