About the job
As a Mechanical Technician at Papastratos, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of our production equipment. You will contribute to maintaining high standards in performance, safety, and efficiency within a dynamic industrial environment.
Your ‘day to day’
You will be part of our Technical Services Department at Papastratos and will report to the Supervisor of Technical Support.
Maintain and improve production equipment to meet quality and production targets, following all health, safety, and quality standards
Perform mechanical maintenance (preventive, planned, and repairs) to ensure equipment runs smoothly and with minimum downtime
Support the team in resolving complex technical issues and breakdowns
Keep technical documentation up to date and ensure accurate machine and process information is available and shared
Identify potential issues during production and take proactive actions to maintain efficiency and continuous operations
Use SAP systems to check spare part availability and ensure proper use of tools and equipment
Follow and promote all company standards related to quality, environment, health, and safety
Report risks and contribute to maintaining a safe workplace for people, equipment, and the environment
Ensure full compliance with internal policies, procedures, and legal requirements, while meeting performance goals
Ιmportant note: Our Factory in Aspropyrgos operates 24x7, the role includes Rotating Shifts, and the working schedule is 4 working days followed by 2 days off.
Who we’re looking for
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or completion of a relevant Technical/Vocational School (e.g. EPAL), provided that the candidate is eligible to obtain the required Technical License (ΠΔ 115/2012)
3+ years of experience in Production / Manufacturing or 2+ years of related experience in the mechanical field as a maintenance technician
Good understanding of technical processes and lean manufacturing principles (OPEN+ Methodology)
Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability and willingness to take ownership and responsibility for organizational practices and processes and their continuous improvement.
Ability to interact with multi-skilled individuals and maintain composure in stressful and/or sensitive situations
Fluent in both English and Greek (written and oral)
Completed Military obligations (if applicable)
