What you'll do
- Plan and lead field research with vessel crews and shore-based teams
- Travel regularly for field research and customer engagement activities
- Use interviews, observation, contextual inquiry and workflow mapping to understand real work practices
- Account for maritime operational realities including safety and connectivity challenges
- Structure findings into user journeys, pain points and prioritized product opportunities
- Translate needs into information architecture, user flows, wireframes and interactive prototypes using Figma
- Plan and run usability tests and iterate designs based on evidence
- Use user metrics to map journeys and improve application usability
- Facilitate workshops and collaborate with experts, developers and stakeholders
- Maintain a reusable research repository for insights and decisions
- Explore AI applications in research and prototyping while ensuring data confidentiality
Key requirements
- UX Research and Qualitative Research Methods including interviews and contextual inquiry
- User Flow Creation, Wireframing and prototyping using Figma
- Usability Testing and Product Analytics to validate and improve designs
- Facilitation Skills and Communication Skills with cross-functional teams
- Pain Point Analysis and Information Architecture to simplify complex workflows
- AI in UX Research for insight generation and support
- Human-Computer Interaction / Design / Psychologypreferred
