About the job
We are seeking for an Senior Market Risk Analyst to join Group Market & Counterparty Risk (GMCR) within the Group’s Risk Management Unit.
By joining this role, you’ll be part of the Counterparty and Issuer Risk department (2nd line of defense) and you will be responsible for the oversight of the exposures and the utilization of the relevant limits related to Issuer, Counterparty and Country Risk.
Your key responsibilities will be:
To monitor, assess, control, and report the Counterparty Credit risk and Country Risk on a Group level together with the established team of experts.
Interact with the front office and Senior Management in order to communicate the Country Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk exposures and the utilization of the relevant limit. Prepare material reports for Bank’s Committees and Regulators.
To design, develop and implement methodologies and policies that support the adequate and timely management of these risks in the Group.
To deploy presentations including data visualization dashboards for the management and the committees and supporting the decision-making process.
Collaborate with the Bank’s IT team and experienced officers to support the development, implementation, and ongoing operation of both existing and new tools and systems.
You will be a great candidate if you:
Hold a quantitative degree in Finance, Risk Management, Financial Engineering or Modelling, Mathematics /Physics, Engineering, IT or other strong analytical studies; a Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) will be preferred. A combination of two degrees on analytical areas and experience on Risk Management / Financial Analysis is highly desirable.
Have a background in a position related to Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, financial risk analysis and control, financial risk modelling, with minimum 3 years of experience on at least one of these areas.
Have understanding of financial products (e.g., Repurchase Transactions, Bond Positions Interest Rate Swaps etc).
Possess strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI); knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R, or advanced VBA) is considered an asset.
Exhibit full professional proficiency in English.
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative spirit, agility, and can-do attitude.
