What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain Java backend services and integrations
- Create and refine RESTful APIs, including contracts, versioning, documentation, and compatibility
- Manage persistence and data access with JPA/Hibernate or Panache and Microsoft SQL Server
- Develop Apache Camel integration flows for routing, transformation, retries, errors, and monitoring
- Apply microservices practices, including service boundaries, resiliency, and operational readiness
- Support CI/CD pipelines and release workflows through Git and Azure DevOps
- Use Microsoft Copilot for coding, refactoring, testing, and documentation, validating results through reviews and automated tests
- Contribute to AI-enabled solution design using LLM integration fundamentals and grounding principles
- Support Angular and TypeScript frontend fixes, enhancements, and API/UI debugging
- Support application operations in AWS environments, including IAM, logging, and monitoring
- Diagnose issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver lasting solutions
- Contribute to delivery planning, estimation, progress monitoring, and Agile ceremonies
- Support team development through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge transfer
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- Java 8+, object-oriented programming, and design patterns
- Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and RESTful APIs
- JPA/Hibernate or Panache, SQL and Microsoft SQL Server, and Maven
- Apache Camel and microservices architecture
- Git and Azure DevOps; CI/CD and DevOps methodologies
- Unit testing with JUnit and Mockito; Angular and TypeScript; Microsoft Copilot; AI architecture and LLM integration fundamentals
