What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain Java backend services using Spring Boot and related frameworks
- Design and evolve RESTful APIs, including contracts, versioning, documentation, performance, and compatibility
- Implement persistence and data access with JPA/Hibernate or Panache and Microsoft SQL Server
- Build and support Apache Camel integration flows, including routing, transformation, retries, and error handling
- Apply microservices practices, including service boundaries, resiliency, and operational readiness
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release processes using Git and Azure DevOps
- Use Microsoft Copilot for implementation, refactoring, test generation, and documentation, validating results
- Contribute to AI-enabled solution design using LLM integration basics, grounding concepts, and risk considerations
- Provide occasional Angular and TypeScript support through fixes, enhancements, and API/UI debugging
- Support application operations in AWS environments, including IAM, logging, and monitoring
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes
- Contribute to delivery planning, estimation, progress tracking, and Agile ceremonies
- Mentor team members through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- Java 8+, object-oriented programming, and design patterns
- Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data
- RESTful APIs, JPA/Hibernate or Panache, and Maven
- SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
- Apache Camel and microservices architecture
- Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Angular and TypeScript
- JUnit and Mockito
- Microsoft Copilot and AI architecture and LLM integration basics
