What you'll do
- Own and evolve the squad’s test automation strategy, coverage targets, risk approach, and quality gates
- Define and enforce Definition of Done criteria for automation, regression scope, and non-functional checks
- Monitor quality KPIs, including automation pass rates, flaky tests, defect leakage, and trends
- Design, implement, and maintain RESTful API tests using JUnit
- Validate API contracts, versioning, compatibility, error scenarios, and authorization patterns
- Create integration coverage for microservices and integration flows
- Validate persistence and data integrity using SQL against Microsoft SQL Server
- Implement and maintain stable Playwright UI automation for critical user journeys
- Design and execute performance and load tests using Apache JMeter
- Integrate automated suites into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor functional QAs through pairing, reviews, training, and contribution guidance
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- Java test automation and JUnit
- API automation with RestAssured or Karate; RESTful API testing
- Playwright for UI automation
- Performance testing with Apache JMeter
- CI/CD pipeline integration using Git and Azure DevOps
- SQL and Microsoft SQL Server; microservices integration testing; Microsoft Copilot or similar AI-assisted tools
