What you'll do
- Collaborate with analysts, architects and clients to shape functional and technical designs
- Support solution scoping, estimation, planning and delivery dependency identification
- Design, develop, configure, test, deploy and support IBM webMethods integration solutions
- Build and maintain services, APIs, integrations and orchestration flows using webMethods Integration Server and Designer
- Connect enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, databases, files, messaging systems and partner ecosystems
- Develop and support REST and SOAP APIs, reusable services, canonical models, transformations and error-handling frameworks
- Apply integration patterns, coding standards, peer reviews and automated testing
- Troubleshoot issues across development, test and production environments and contribute to root-cause analysis
- Communicate clearly, lead technical discussions, explain design decisions and manage risks
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- IBM webMethods, Enterprise integration engineering, and webMethods Integration Server and Designer
- API Gateway, RESTful APIs, and SOAP web services
- XML, JSON, XSD, XPath and XSLT; data mapping and transformation
- Synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns; messaging and event-based processing
- Flow services and Java services; webMethods environment administration
- Automated testing and root-cause analysis
