What you'll do
- Greet and welcome guests promptly and escort them to their tables
- Thank and give farewell to guests encouraging return visits
- Ensure prompt and courteous service attending to guests' needs and preferences
- Provide menu information and answer questions about food and drinks
- Record transactions/orders in Point of Sales (POS) systems at the time of order
- Perform shift closing on the POS terminal and tally cash and credit card settlements
- Ensure the restaurant is kept clean and organized in front and back areas
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages
- Communicate with kitchen about menu questions, dietary needs and special requests
Key requirements
- 1+ years' experience
- Customer service and food and beverage service skills
- Experience with Point of Sales (POS) system and cash and credit card handling
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Communication skills and English conversational language ability
- Hospitalitypreferred
