What you'll do
- Coordinate and oversee daily maintenance operations including preventive maintenance schedules and emergency repairs
- Ensure all mechanical systems and structural components are in optimal working condition
- Supervise upkeep of guest rooms, public spaces, kitchens, and outdoor areas
- Recruit, train, and manage the maintenance team including performance evaluations and schedules
- Conduct safety meetings and training on equipment use and workplace safety
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards through audits and inspections
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs and compliance documents
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance concerns and resolve issues effectively
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance guest experiences related to maintenance
- Plan and coordinate property improvement projects including renovations and upgrades
- Manage project timelines, vendors, and budgets to ensure timely completion
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- Maintenance management including preventive maintenance and emergency repairs
- Mechanical systems knowledge covering HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
- Team leadership including recruitment, training, and staff supervision
- Health and safety compliance with audits, inspections, and record keeping
- Budget management and project management for property improvements
- Guest issue resolution and strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to address challenges promptly
- Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineeringpreferred
