What you'll do
- Direct daily shift operations of Housekeeping
- Ensure guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas are clean and maintained
- Complete inspections and hold staff accountable for corrective action
- Manage housekeeping department finances and maximize profitability
- Schedule, monitor, and adjust labor based on business needs
- Assist with budget preparation and management
- Manage company assets within budget to prolong their life
- Ensure sufficient room inventory is cleaned to maximize revenue
- Respond promptly to guest concerns and focus on service recovery
- Train staff and model guest service standards
- Conduct routine inspections to maintain housekeeping standards
- Motivate staff through goal setting, feedback, and recognition
- Interview, hire, coach, and develop employees
- Promote collaboration and a professional work environment
- Attend department and hotel meetings for communication and planning
- Advise and implement changes to housekeeping operations
- Manage housekeeping and laundry initiatives and productivity
Key requirements
- 2+ years' experience
- Housekeeping management and inspections
- Budget management and inventory management
- Labor scheduling and monitoring
- Guest service standards and problem-solving
- Staff motivation, employee hiring, and development
- Communication skills, collaboration, and teamwork
- Adaptability and time management
- Professional work environment promotion
- Hotel and Restaurant Management / Hospitality / Business Administrationpreferred
