What you'll do
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables
- Thank guests and bid them farewell, encouraging their return
- Provide prompt, courteous service and attend to guests’ needs and preferences
- Explain menu items and answer questions about food and beverages
- Record orders and transactions in Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Complete shift closing and reconcile cash and credit card settlements
- Keep front- and back-of-house restaurant areas clean and organized
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for timely food and beverage delivery
- Discuss menu questions, allergies, dietary needs, additional requirements, and special requests with the kitchen
Key requirements
- 1+ years' experience
- Customer service, restaurant guest greeting and seating, and conversational English
- Food and beverage service, order taking, and menu and beverage knowledge
- Point of Sale (POS) systems, cash and credit card settlements, and shift closing
- Health, safety, and sanitation regulations; restaurant cleanliness and organization
- Kitchen and bar coordination and allergy and dietary-needs communication
- Planning and organization and multitasking
- Hospitality Managementpreferred
