About the job

The Human Resources Specialist will be a key member of the HR team, responsible for supporting the overall talent management and cultural initiatives at the Corfiot properties. This role involves a blend of recruitment, employee engagement, administration & payroll processes and employee relations functions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for people, a keen understanding of the hospitality industry, and a proactive approach to fostering a positive work environment.

Some of the responsibilities:

Property Recruitment & Staff Onboarding

  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates with the help of hiring managers and according to the property’s recruitment needs.

  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations and ensure smooth onboarding processes (hiring documents, staff accommodation, etc.)

HR Administration

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with legal and company standards.

  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs.

  • Ensure compliance with state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective employee relations programs.

  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and retention. Stroll around the property and get feedback and the vibes by the staff.

  • Promote the employee survey at the end of the summer season and aim to address and support problematic areas.

Staff Payroll Processing

  • Support the processing of weekly payroll, including new starters, leavers, timesheets

  • Weekly team schedules. Upload to ERGANI System and check the day-to-day compliance or non-compliance with the program

  • Ensure the management of all types of leave e.g. holiday, sick, maternity.

  • Provide any other Payroll, or HR administrative related tasks, as identified.

Performance Management

  • Support the performance review process, providing guidance to managers and employees.

  • Assist in the development of performance improvement plans and career development initiatives.

Requirements

Useful to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 3-4 years of experience in HR, preferably in the hospitality industry.

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment laws preferably in Hospitality.

  • In-depth familiarity with the ERGANI platform and all related employment declaration procedures.

  • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
