Under this framework, we are currently looking for enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to become part of our dynamic Consulting team in our offices in Athens. In this role, you’ll work with cutting-edge technologies to help clients transform their technology platforms and business operations. Your role as a DevOps Engineer will focus on the delivery of client engagements, by understanding objectives for clients and Deloitte, aligning your own work to objectives and setting personal priorities, teaming with others across businesses and borders and taking accountability for own and team results. In this role, you will build relationships and exercise your communication skills in order to positively influence your peers and other stakeholders. You will commit to personal learning and development by actively seeking opportunities for growth, you will share knowledge and experience with others, and act as a strong brand ambassador, embracing our purpose and values in order to put these into practice in your professional life.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities:
Deploy cloud solutions for customers in a dynamic context;
Coordinate and communicate within the team and with customers;
Understand customer requirements and provide relevant solutions;
Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC);
Deploy updates and fixes for customer assets
Encourage and build automated processes wherever possible and required;
Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous delivery pipelines (CI/CD Pipeline);
Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD and monitoring automation tools;
Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve customer experience;
Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance;
Monitor the processes during the entire product lifecycle and update or create new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage;
Provide technical support and Incident management;
Perform root cause analysis for production errors;
Work with data and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
#WinningRequirement
Academic background (BSc and/or MSc) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field;
Up to 2 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or relevant roles (internships, academic, or personal projects included);
Basic understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and familiarity with at least one configuration tool (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep) – Bicep exposure is a plus;
Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure);
Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps;
Introductory knowledge or hands-on practice with containerization/orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift;
Basic scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Python;
Understanding of WebApp and cloud architecture fundamentals;
Experience with git and familiarity with GitOps and pipelines;
Working knowledge of databases and SQL (e.g., via projects or coursework);
Familiarity with monitoring tools, ideally including Azure Monitoring;
Basic understanding of networking concepts (VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, etc.);
Awareness of security practices in cloud environments (e.g., backups, redundancy);
Strong problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking;
Collaborative and proactive team player;
Fluency in Greek and English;
Military obligations fulfilled, where applicable.
