In your role as an Associate, you will focus on supporting the delivery of client engagements by understanding client expectations, producing high-quality work, and developing strong communication and relationship-building skills. You will also contribute to the priorities of the team as well as the business, while committing to your personal learning and development, seizing opportunities to make a meaningful impact through delivering exceptional legal services to our clients.
During your tenure as an Associate, you will demonstrate and develop the ability to:
Contribute to the provision of innovative legal & practical solutions to complex legal issues, delivering a high-quality output and helping create trusted relationships with clients.
Provide legal support and advice relating to, among others:
handling data protection matters, including data subject requests, personal data breaches, data protection impact assessments, and advice on legal and regulatory requirements as well as supporting privacy trainings to employees;
o supporting privacy management operational activities, such as conducting data mapping exercises, drafting and/or reviewing privacy notices, privacy policies and procedures;
drafting and reviewing commercial agreements with a focus on data protection, cybersecurity and cyber-resilience matters and supporting negotiations;
cooperating with cross-functional teams to conduct M&A due diligence on data protection, cybersecurity, intellectual property and other legal and regulatory compliance matters.
Deepen your expertise in current and upcoming legislation on data protection, cybersecurity and intellectual property;
Leverage advanced tools and technologies, and collaborate with non-legal functions to enhance the reach and effectiveness of your legal advice;
Take on increasing responsibility in managing workstreams within client engagements, including coordinating tasks and timelines;
Support the team’s business development activities, including client acquisition, retention and expansion, and the creation of new offerings for IDT-related products and services;
Where appropriate, provide guidance to junior colleagues/trainees, reviewing work and supporting their development under the supervision of more senior team members.
Our Requirements

In particular, to qualify for the role you must have:
Qualified as an Attorney-at-Law in Greece (Athens Bar Association or other Greek Bar Association membership);
A Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Data Protection, Cybersecurity or New Technologies from a prominent, well-acclaimed University in Greece or abroad;
Three (3) to five (5) years of post-qualification relevant work experience at a law firm, law office or in-house legal department;
Prior work experience in data protection, cybersecurity, and/or intellectual property;
Demonstrated interest and sound understanding of new or emerging technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence, data centers, connected devices, and software);
Excellent written and spoken professional English, with strong drafting and presentation skills;
A professional, business-aware and client-facing approach to legal services delivery;
Strong project and time management skills, including the ability to work efficiently and timely under pressure and strict deadlines;
Capacity to be detail – oriented and to deliver high quality work both independently and as part of a team;
Strong collaborative, interpersonal skills – ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels;
Highly motivated and dynamic personality with a positive, proactive attitude and willingness to the extra mile;
AI Literacy.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to take initiative and work with a degree of independence, while knowing when to seek guidance;
Additional languages (French, German, Italian or other) will be considered an asset;
Diploma/Certifications/Seminars in data protection, cybersecurity;
Diploma/Certifications/Seminars in privacy management platforms.
