About the job
Your role as an Assistant in our Accounting and Reporting Advisory team will focus on participating in client engagements, providing support on complex accounting issues related to financial instruments and their accounting treatment, including valuation of derivatives and hedge accounting. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills, particularly in relation to accounting standards for financial instruments under IFRS and US GAAP. You will also build valuable relationships and enhance your communication skills, enabling you to positively influence your peers and other stakeholders. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about finance and eager to contribute to high-impact projects within a collaborative and dynamic environment. You will commit to personal learning and development, act as a brand ambassador and grasp opportunities to make an impact by delivering exceptional client services.

Specifically, candidates should possess the following attributes:
University degree in Accounting and Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master’s degree in Finance or a related subject is considered as an asset.
Understanding of the underlying mechanics of financial instruments (including valuation).
Eagerness to become involved with treasury transactions and risk management practices undertaken by entities to increase value and manage financial risks.
Familiarity with basic accounting and financial principles.
Strong willingness to learn and apply IFRS and US GAAP standards related to financial instruments.
Enthusiastic about engaging in technical and complex accounting matters that may shape future precedent and impact industry practices.
Willingness to learn how to analyze and model financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues effectively.
Commit to continuous learning and gaining exposure across multiple industries to broaden expertise.
Relevant work experience such as internships or summer positions will be considered as an asset.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Greek and English; English proficiency qualification required.
Advanced computer literacy, especially in Excel, along with proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
Keen on leveraging advanced analytics and BI tools to streamline and enhance day-to-day activities is considered as an asset.
Strong organizational skills with a focus on delivering high-quality work using appropriate tools and methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
