What you'll do
- Lead overall API production site operations for safe, compliant and uninterrupted manufacturing
- Drive production strategy, capacity planning, resource allocation and short- and long-term manufacturing plans
- Ensure compliance with GMP requirements, ICH Q7 principles, quality standards and regulatory expectations
- Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Technical Services, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain and EHS teams
- Monitor production KPIs, batch performance, deviations, yield, cycle times, costs and capacity utilization
- Lead and develop supervisors and cross-functional teams
- Oversee technology transfer, scale-up, process optimization and validation-related activities
- Promote safety culture and embed EHS standards, risk assessments and preventive actions
- Support audits, regulatory inspections, customer visits and remediation plans
- Represent site leadership in strategic growth and API operations development
- Participate in selecting API production personnel with the HR recruitment team
Key requirements
- 10+ years' experience
- API manufacturing operations, sterile dry injections production and process equipment
- GMP compliance, ICH Q7, batch records, deviations, CAPA and change controls
- Production planning, production KPIs and validation principles
- Technology transfer, scale-up and process improvement
- Chemical Engineering / Chemistry / Pharmacypreferred
