What you'll do
- Lead pharmaceutical production facility construction projects from planning and design coordination through execution, handover and operational readiness.
- Coordinate construction of GMP production areas, cleanrooms, technical rooms, utilities, HVAC, mechanical systems, piping, electrical works and infrastructure.
- Manage daily project execution, timelines, priorities, budgets, risks, issues and progress reporting.
- Lead in-house technical crews through work allocation, supervision, safety compliance and milestone alignment.
- Coordinate contractors, engineering partners, suppliers and installation teams to ensure quality, schedule adherence and collaboration.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, Validation, EHS, Procurement and external consultants.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, method statements, schedules and contractor deliverables, escalating risks or deviations.
- Support GMP-compliant facility design, including personnel and material flows, cleanroom requirements, environmental controls, pressure cascades and utilities readiness.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, internal procedures, construction regulations and applicable GMP expectations.
- Support commissioning, qualification, handover documentation and closure of pending actions.
Key requirements
- 15+ years' experience
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing facility construction and cleanroom construction experience.
- Project management, construction scheduling, budget monitoring and risk management.
- GMP compliance, commissioning and qualification, and validation support.
- HVAC systems and utilities infrastructure knowledge.
- Contractor coordination and technical team leadership.
- Technical documentation and English language proficiency.
- Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
