Operating within a small team, the IT Auditor will play a key role in delivering independent, high-quality assurance and challenge on the effectiveness of IT-related processes and controls across the organization. This role is part of the Internal Audit team and is responsible for the planning and delivery of a variety of technology audits while working closely with stakeholders across the business. The IT Internal Auditor will participate in both strategic and operational audits in accordance with the organization’s IT Audit Plan. The ideal candidate will have proven IT Audit experience within the financial services sector, hold a relevant professional qualification, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute internal audit procedures, document and report results in line with the internal audit plan.

• Support the planning of internal audits and internal control testing, considering both technology and business risks.

• Conduct Technology and Integrated internal audit reviews as well as other special projects, as required.

• Perform walkthroughs to understand key IT Systems and processes and observe the operation of related controls.

• Proactively manage information requests and documentation collection from various control owners, ensuring timely follow-up and tracking of action items to completion.

• Independently resolve queries and provide guidance, where needed, on necessary process and control improvements.

• Identify any significant risks or exposures related to internal controls, compliance, or governance.

• Provide technical guidance and advice to IT and business owners on the remediation of internal control weaknesses.

• Ensure that audits are properly designed, across all relevant processes, and support their re-design as new internal processes evolve.

• Promote best practices in internal audit and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Sciences or a related field.

• Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science / Business or a related discipline, is considered a plus.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IT Audit or IT Risk Management role is required.

• Professional qualifications such as CISA, CRISC, CIA, or CISS are highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of IT risk management principles, including but not limited to IT infrastructure controls, cybersecurity controls, application controls, and IT general controls.

• Solid knowledge of internal control frameworks such as COSO and COBIT.

• Self-motivated with a proven ability to take ownership of responsibilities.

• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.

• Solution-oriented with the ability to understand how technology supports business operations and to propose practical, effective solutions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English, as well as presentation skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Team player with a proven ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, with a strong interest in learning, effective under pressure, and willing to take personal accountability.
