Summary
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for managing payroll processes and ensuring compliance with labor and social security laws. The role includes calculating wages, deductions, and contributions, collaborating with relevant authorities, collaborating with all the departments of the organization, and providing advisory support to employees regarding payroll matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing payroll and related processes, ensuring compliance with legislation
- Calculating wages, deductions, bonuses, and social security contributions
- Submission of all required filings to the ERGANI Information System, including Employee hiring/termination declarations, Overtime notifications, Changes in employment terms, Digital Card, Organization of Working Time etc.
- Supporting internal and external payroll audits
- Assisting in the preparation of supporting reports for the management
- Providing advisory support to employees on payroll matters
- Monitoring changes in labor, tax, and social security legislation to ensure ongoing payroll compliance and accurate implementation
- Collaborating with HR and Finance departments to align payroll processes with company policies and ensure data accuracy

Educational Background
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics
- MSc will be considered as an asset
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (Please mention the most essential for this position)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English
- Strong knowledge of labor and social security law
- Proficiency with payroll software, Time attendance (by Epsilon Net)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, Google calendars, Google docs/forms; general Web proficiency
- Ability to work in a diverse multinational work environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Able to multi-task, get tasks done quickly and accurately
- Adaptability/Flexibility: Adapts to change, is open to new ideas, takes on new responsibilities, handles pressure, and adjusts plans to meet changing needs.
- Teamwork: Meets all team deadlines and responsibilities, helps team leader to meet goals
Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant position is required
- Experience working in a school is considered an asset
