Intellectica is recruiting a dynamic Production Manager on behalf of its client, a well‑established industrial organization with a strong international presence in the design and manufacturing of high‑specification pumping systems for infrastructure, energy, and industrial applications. The company operates in a demanding, project‑driven manufacturing environment, delivering tailor‑made mechanical solutions for large‑scale projects worldwide, while consistently investing in engineering excellence, quality, and continuous improvement. Based in Volos, Greece and reporting directly to the Director of Production &amp; Facilities, the successful candidate will assume full responsibility for setting up, organizing, and operating the new production facility, from its early development stage through to full operational maturity&nbsp;Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:&nbsp;<ul><li>Planning, organizing, directing, and executing daily operations of the new manufacturing unit, ensuring efficiency, safety, quality, and operational excellence</li><li>Leading the setup phase of the facility, including production layout, workflows, equipment installation, and definition of operational standards and procedures</li><li>Establishing and managing production planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives, delivery timelines, quality requirements, and cost targets</li><li>Building, leading, and developing the production team, including recruitment support, onboarding, training, and performance management</li><li>Implementing structured production processes, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to support scalable and autonomous plant operation</li><li>Ensuring full compliance with quality, health &amp; safety, and regulatory standards, embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement</li><li>Driving productivity, efficiency, and cost‑optimization initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices</li><li>Acting as the main operational interface with central production, engineering, and management teams to ensure technical and organizational alignment</li><li>Monitoring operational performance, identifying risks or gaps, and proactively implementing corrective and preventive actions</li><li>Supporting the gradual organizational and operational maturity of the unit, contributing to its transition toward full independence as a manufacturing site</li><li>Any other task that may be required from time-to-time</li></ul>Professional experience &amp; qualifications of a successful candidate:&nbsp;<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field</li><li>Proven experience in production or manufacturing roles within an industrial environment, including responsibility for teams and operations</li><li>Proven exposure to setting up, scaling, or significantly restructuring production lines, departments, or facilities</li><li>Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, industrial workflows, and production planning</li><li>Familiarity with safety and quality procedures</li><li>Solid knowledge of quality systems, KPIs, and industrial performance metrics</li><li>Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and operational excellence frameworks</li><li>Familiarity with MS office and ERP systems</li><li>Fluency in both Greek and English</li><li>Willingness to collaborate closely with central operations and travel as required during the setup and development phase</li></ul>&nbsp;Core competencies of a successful candidate:&nbsp;<ul><li>Exceptional leadership capabilities and adeptness in team management</li><li>Proficiency in decision-making and the ability to make well-informed choices</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration</li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills</li></ul>&nbsp;

Production Manager

As a Materials Planner, your mission will be to ensure the continuous and efficient flow of raw materials, optimizing inventory levels and supporting seamless production operations. You'll be the crucial link between demand planning, procurement, and production, safeguarding material availability and data accuracy. Key responsibility:- Raw Material Requirements Planning &amp; CommunicationAccurately identify raw material needs by leveraging the Slim4 planning system to determine "how much" and "when." Translate these requirements into actionable information and communicate them proactively to the procurement team for timely execution, ensuring materials are on hand when needed.- Procurement Support &amp; Issue ResolutionServe as the primary point of contact for the purchasing team regarding raw material inquiries. This includes validating forecasts with demand planners when necessary, assessing the impact of purchasing decisions on stock levels, and acting as the first line of approval for certain procurement processes to maintain supply chain fluidity.- Master Data Management &amp; Accuracy OversightMaintain the accuracy and completeness of raw material master data within planning systems, including information related to bulk transfers (in/out). Proactively collaborate with and follow up on other departments (e.g., purchasing for lead times and MOQs, production for BOMs, demand planners for forecasts and item links) to ensure their master data contributions are precise and up-to-date, -preventing discrepancies.- Inventory Optimization &amp; ControlActively monitor raw material stock positions and availability. Proactively adjust planning parameters, such as minimum and maximum stock levels, as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize excess stock, and prevent shortages, contributing to overall working capital efficiency.- Material Availability Monitoring &amp; Risk MitigationContinuously track the availability of raw materials and proactively identify potential supply risks or shortages. Initiate and coordinate necessary actions with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues, expedite deliveries, or find alternative solutions to ensure uninterrupted production.Set yourself apartYou possess the following qualifications, background and abilities: &nbsp;&nbsp; - Experience in Material Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory Management, or similar areas is considered a plus, but not mandatory. - Educational background in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, Logistics, or related fields. - Strong analytical and organizational skills. - Good communication and stakeholder management skills. - Comfortable working with systems, data, and planning tools (ERP/MRP knowledge is a plus). - Fluent English required.
