The role is based in Thessaloniki, Greece, and reports directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all operations related to freight forwarding between Italy and Greece, ensuring operational excellence, driving profitability, and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:<ul><li>Managing end-to-end freight forwarding operations between Italy and Greece, by ensuring smooth coordination of shipments, from planning and execution to delivery</li><li>Developing and implementing effective strategies for managing import/export operations</li><li>Overseeing freight operations, including supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing and ensure quality service</li><li>Analyzing operational metrics to identify trends, improve efficiency, and enhance service delivery</li><li>Monitoring profitability by managing budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring timely invoicing and documentation closure</li><li>Maintaining and growing relationships with key accounts by delivering tailored solutions and addressing customer needs proactively</li><li>Continuously monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth</li><li>Providing daily and periodic reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators, challenges, and strategic recommendations</li><li>Ensuring all operations adhere to international trade regulations, customs procedures, and internal standards</li><li>Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and operational success</li></ul>Professional experience &amp; qualifications of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field</li><li>Professional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are advantageous</li><li>Minimum of 8 years of experience&nbsp;managing Italy groupage lines&nbsp;in an international transport environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity</li><li>In-depth knowledge of transport logistics, including trucking, shipping modes, and supply chain optimization</li><li>Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience with ERP and CRM systems</li><li>Fluency in English and&nbsp;Italian&nbsp;(both written and spoken)</li></ul>Core competencies of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Ability to evaluate complex data sets, derive insights, and make informed decisions to optimize operations</li><li>Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders</li><li>A deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to deliver superior service</li><li>Proven ability to lead teams, build trust, and foster collaboration across departments</li><li>Keen understanding of market dynamics and a strong focus on identifying and seizing growth opportunities</li><li>Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently</li></ul>

Based in Thessaloniki, Greece and reporting directly to the Line Manager, the ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless and efficient importation of goods while maintaining compliance with customs regulations and company policies.Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:<ul><li>Scheduling and booking shipments from overseas, ensuring that goods are picked up, transported, and delivered on time</li><li>Preparing and verifying all necessary import documentation to meet customs and regulatory requirements, helping to secure smooth and compliant customs clearance</li><li>Acting as the primary point of contact between customers, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to resolve any issues, provide updates, and ensure effective shipment tracking</li><li>Maintaining accurate records of shipments in internal systems and generating reports on the status and performance of import operations</li><li>Ensuring that all operations adhere to both internal standards and external regulatory requirements, thereby supporting the company’s commitment to reliable and on-time deliveries</li><li>Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, and service issues in the CRM system</li><li>Any other task that may be required from time to time</li></ul>Professional experience &amp; qualifications of a successful candidate:<ul><li>1-3 years of experience in an import/export, customer support, or a similar role, preferably in the logistics or freight forwarding industry</li><li>A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management will be considered a plus</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software</li><li>Fluency in Greek, English, and Italian is required</li><li>Completed military obligations (if applicable)</li></ul>Core competencies of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering exceptional service</li><li>Proactive, problem-solving approach</li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a dynamic environment</li></ul>
